Wanted: Sales Administrator – Daventry (£21k)

Salary: £20,000-£21,000/annum (depending on experience)

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 5.30pm

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Sales Administrator to join a friendly, busy team in Daventry. This is a full-time, permanent position within a well-established company.

My client is seeking a proactive team player with the ability to deliver exceptional customer service to a variety of internal and external clients. Working as part of a small sales team, the successful candidate will work collaboratively, supporting others to achieve results. Essential to the role is confidence in dealing with multiple contractors and suppliers on a daily basis, experience of using Microsoft Office, plus the ability to complete multiple tasks within tight timeframes.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 5.30pm

Duties will include (but not be limited to):

  • Processing sales and purchase orders whilst following company procedures
  • Liaising with Credit Control where required
  • Checking all orders before issuing paperwork to warehouse and accounts
  • Organising direct deliveries for orders, liaising with suppliers and customers
  • Allocating daily orders against stock to allow invoices to be raised
  • Processing and posting invoices daily to customers
  • Dealing with telephone, fax or email enquiries from contractors, suppliers, and team
  • Producing quotations to contractors in relation to price enquiries
  • Understanding margins and guidelines regarding quotations for contractors and special project-specific pricing agreements
  • Ensuring efficient communication between Sales Office and external Sales Team
  • Accurately updating company project database, documenting project-related communications
  • Resolving customer queries in a timely manner
  • Supporting the wider administration functions

  • Computer literacy in using databases, spreadsheets, emails, and internet
  • Previous experience of working within a sales team environment
  • Experience of working to tight deadlines
